Parties interested in becoming a registrar for the .ORG
top-level domain (TLD) must first be accredited by the
Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). Once you
are ICANN accredited, complete the three steps outlined below to become a .ORG
registrar.
Step 1: Apply
To complete Step 1, you must have:

Two signed original Confidentiality Agreements.

One completed Registrar Data Form.

One completed and signed Facsimile Authorization Form.

Step 2: Meet technical requirements
To complete Step 2, you must:

Obtain a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate from an accepted certificate
authority.

Successfully complete Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E).

Payment security: cash deposit or an irrevocable letter of credit from a bank.
